Combine solid accounting skills with IT development, accounting application upgrades, coding, network administration, database administration, and marketing experience. I have practical knowledge and hands-on experience in each of those disciplines, and guide, supervise, and manage small to large projects across a wide spectrum of business needs. I can, and do jump in as needed to add work as required to projects managed.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): I work with a wide variety of ecommerce apps and content management systems. I study business models, objectives, and client visions. I conduct detailed research into competitors. I use professional tools to build profiles of customers or clients, evaluate queries, conduct search engine searches, and social network activity. I develop SEO campaigns, a fundamental element in website projects.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM): Also known as “pay for click” campaigning, I use Google research tools, marrying the results to statistical data. One or more campaigns are then created, based upon competitive insights, keyword identification, budget considerations, and many other factors. Well done, with expert guidance, and tested with trial campaigns, rapid results may be expected.

Network and Website Security: Recognizing a prevalent lack of IT security, I added research, study, practice and testing to my skills. I have installed, and can maintain comprehensive IT security for websites and networks. I have experience using AWS utilities (EC-2, IAM, S3, etc.) to isolate data in containers, and block unauthorized access. I am very familiar with, and can train network users, including remote users, against phishing, on vpn use and management. I, recommend developing a culture of security for clients, using best practices for blocking, detection, and recovery of vulnerable SMB networks.

Remote Technicians – Oversight and Management: As is currently the case, talented U.S. based IT technicians can become difficult to find, or hire. I have found success choosing carefully from part-time or contracted technologists trained by Google, Microsoft, Oracle and other IT giants, now working independently, offshore, for those very entities, and others.  It has been my experience that independent, contract developers, however sourced, interviewed at length, (not casually), by a highly experienced IT project manager, (not an executive stakeholder), and tested with several small projects can become valued members of a project team. 

Website Maintenance: For years I have maintained websites for clients. I ensure  websites are fast, secure, updated and upgraded as new versions appear for applications and server operating systems. I maintain, manage, customize, and oversee hosting, especially for open-source applications, including Magento. I deploy skills in relevant programming languages, and directly maintain linux servers, whether dedicated, virtual private cloud based, or shared.

Cloud Administration – AWS and GCP: I was an early adopter of cloud hosting with major cloud providers. I have completed migration from ecommerce and content management systems within a day, moving it to a secure, solid, tested installation on your choice of AWS or Google Cloud Platform hosting. I do not require that I become a long term service provider to a client as part of a migration.
